Low Level Laser Therapy

Low Level Laser Therapy

What is Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)?

Laser means Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Unlike normal light which scatters and cannot carry information, laser light is coherent; which means its waves run parallel and carry information, as a result it is much more valuable when it is used for therapy.
Lasers come in numerous forms, however the ones that it is used for therapy is called low level laser, cold laser, soft laser, bio-stimulating laser, or healing laser.
Low level lasers in contrast to hot lasers will never heat, cut, burn or destroy body tissue. Therapeutic lasers are supplying energy to the body in the form of photons of coherent light. Photonic energy in the cellular level is transformed into chemical energy (ATP), which the body uses to accelerate the natural healing rate of cells and tissue for treatment of a wide range of ailments.

The Q1000 NG+
The Q1000 NG+ is considered one of the most advanced healing lasers as it can be both resonating and stimulating, it uses frequencies to enhance the effectiveness of the light and also uses the technology of solitone waves which allows deeper penetration of the body tissue. The FDA has approved the Q1000/660nm LASER for osteoarthritis of the wrist.

What are the benefits of LLLT?
Painless and Non-invasive
There are no known negative side effects
Analgesic-Pain Relieving. It reduces or eliminates acute and chronic pain
Anti-oedema, reduces swelling and increases mobility and function
Re-polarizes injured cells and enhances cellular uptake of nutrition
Improves circulation
Increases immunity
Normalizes nervous system
It accelerates beneficial cellular communication, allowing treatment of an extensive list of ailments that involve skin, tendons, muscles, nerves, blood vessels, organs and glands

How Does LLLT Work?
Reduces pain by causing the production of natural pain killer endorphins
Reduces inflammation by suppressing 7 of the 9 enzymes that cause inflammation by up to 75%
Enhances the release of anti-inflammatory enzymes
Enhances lymphatic drainage, which increases circulation & speeds healing
Releases tight muscles (both smooth and striated) that create chronic pain, joint problems, and decreased mobility
Speeds bone repair by stimulating fibroblastic and osteoblastic proliferation
LLLT in the correct frequency appears to be antiviral, antifungal, and anti-herpetic.
